After School Assistance Program (ASAP)

Mon–Thu, 3:30pm – 5:00pm

Emerson and Da Vinci Students: Need some help with homework? Looking to do better on that next math test? Want some help with that essay? Come to the After School Assistance Program (ASAP)! We’ll have teachers and staff there to assist you with all of the above. With progress reports coming home soon, this is an opportunity to get some assistance and make a plan for success. ASAP is free and available to all students. Drop by ASAP and get the help you need!

New and Timely Information:


  • Several community colleges in the Greater Sacramento Region are hosting week-long summer CyberCamps for high school students* (9th-12th graders during the 2018-19 school year). The CyberCamps are FREE to attendees and provide introductory and advanced Cybersecurity training.  CyberCamps will be held during the last two weeks in June.   • The yearbooks are here! If you have ordered one, they will be passed during the last week of school, this is your last week to pre-order them for $45. After that they will be available for $50 when they are passed out. See Mr. Wizard in B1 or either office for an order form.
  • Students and staff- Eagles and Pandas are important, but think of the kitties and doggos and bunnies and all those other sweet critters we love! Leadership class and the SPCA needs your help! Bring your (clean) used towels and blankets to the purple boxes in either office so our cuddly friends have something soft to hang out in while they wait for adoption.
  • Emerson 9th Grade Families: You are cordially invited to our 9th grade Awards Ceremony! We honor each and every  9th grader and celebrate their time here at Emerson.

When: Tuesday, June 5 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm

Where: The Emerson Gymnasium 

At the conclusion of the ceremony, all 9th grade students are invited to a yearbook signing party in our Indoor Commons from 3:30pm – 4:30pm. Pizza and ice cream will be served!

We want this date to be on your calendars so that you can be with us as we celebrate this spectacular 9th grade class. We look forward to seeing you there!

  • Announcement from the Library: 9th graders, please remember that your library account must be completely cleared before you are able to go on the 9th grade field trip at the end of the school year
  • Come see the Emerson and Da Vinci school play, the Time Machine, presented by the Drama class. Follow the story of time traveler Filby, and his housekeeper Mrs. Watchet as they travel to the future. The performance will be held in the IDC  May 24th at 6:30 pm. That’s this Thursday!
  • 2020 Student Travel Opportunity Meeting 2 amazing trips to choose from in 2020.  Come with us to Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam in June of 2020 or volunteer in Nicaragua in July of 2020.  Ms. Amsler, Mr. Teves, and Ms. Pickett will be leading these tours through EF Tours.   • Tomorrow is the last day the library will be open at lunch. Beginning Thursday the library will be closed as it prepares to get all the books back. Tomorrow will also be the last day for ASAP study help.

  • Build Blue Devil Pride, One Brick at a Time! The new DAVIS BLUE DEVIL ATHLETIC BOOSTERS invite you to support all of our high school athletes with the purchase of a memorial brick. Bricks will be installed at the Steve Larsen Bike Plaza (in between the stadium and gym) and will honor your future, past or present athlete, musician, scientist or artist!
